The most reliable way to get a working link is to use the Share → Copy link button on the video itself, rather than copying your browser's address bar URL (which can be long, truncated, or point to a feed instead of the video).

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1 — Find the Video on Facebook

Open the Facebook app or website and navigate to the video you want to save. It can be on a Page, in a public group, or from a friend's public profile.

Step 2 — Copy the Share Link

Tap the Share button under the video, then choose Copy link. On desktop, click the share icon and select "Copy link" from the menu.

Tip: Avoid copying the URL from the browser address bar — Facebook often appends tracking parameters that can interfere with downloads. The share button gives you a clean link.

Step 3 — Paste Into SaveClips

Why a Facebook Download Sometimes Fails

Facebook is one of the stricter platforms about automated access, and downloads fail more often than on other networks. Common causes:

The video is private or "friends-only": No downloader can retrieve content Facebook restricts. If the post isn't visible to the public, it can't be downloaded.
